PARTY TIME
Sixty boys from Yizani Drop In Centre, Homestead Intake Shelter
and The Bridge at Elukhuselweni Children's Home had a wonderful
treat when Table Bay Hotel organised the open top bus for
a five hour trip around the Peninsula, with a stop for lunch
and a walk on the beach en route. The boys absolutely loved
it!
Other companies that have hosted parties for the 65 boys in
our Children's Home were Elite Supermarkets, Sarie magazine
and Mortgage SA. Some of the boys had their last party with
The Homestead, as they are now 18 and will return to relatives
in various communities and try to make their way in life as
adults. So the party was also a farewell to the older youth,
and younger boys read out their wishes for them. It was very
moving to hear what the boys had to say. |
